GOLDEN IMAGE

The Golden Image Awards competition is conducted annually by the Florida Public Relations Association to recognize outstanding public relations programs in Florida and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism in our state.

The Golden Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence in the state of Florida. Winners demonstrate the very best examples of innovation, planning and design. The awards competition includes four divisions of categories: Public Relations Programs, Printed Tools of Public Relations, Audio/Visual Tools of Public Relations and Student Projects in Public Relations. To qualify for judging, an entry must incorporate sound public relations research and planning. Entries also must meet the highest standard of production, execution and evaluation of results and budget.

To qualify for judging, some part of the entry must have taken place between the previous 15 months and must incorporate sound public relations research and planning.
Entries must also meet the highest standards of production, execution and evaluation of results and budget.
Entry and fees must arrive at the State Office no later than 5:00 pm, Friday May 21, 2010.

Golden Image is a Two-Step Process
It’s a two-step process. The Image Awards are held locally each spring and the Golden Image Awards, the state awards ceremony, is held during annual conference in August. Here’s what you need to do.

First, enter your best work in the local Image Awards program in your area.
Use the feedback you receive from the local judges to improve your entry and then enter your project in the statewide Golden Image Awards.

Want to improve your chances of winning?
Anyone serious about winning Image and Golden Image awards should attend an Image Workshop. These workshops are offered throughout the state for your convenience. The session’s cover:

how to select your best work
how to write the 2-page summary
how to compile the notebook as well as an overview of the awards themselves
how the judging process works
what the value of the competition is
