I wanted to personally invite you to our upcoming professional development event Practical Strategies for Crafting Effective Narratives with from 8:30 – 10:30 am on Thursday, July 18 at the Brevard County Emergency Operations Center in Rockledge.
Join us at Brevard’s New Emergency Operations Center for a presentation from Dr. Heidi Hatfield Edwards, professor and the associate dean for Florida Tech’s College of Psychology and Liberal Arts.
Storytelling is central to public communication. Understanding how to craft a narrative is an essential component in the communicator’s toolkit. Dr. Heidi Hatfield Edwards will discuss why storytelling is effective in getting your message to the public, providing tips for crafting your messages with narrative structures.
After the program, attendees will enjoy a VIP tour of the newly constructed Emergency Operations Center.
