LEADERSHIPFPRA

LeadershipFPRA was developed as an exclusive premium member benefit for those who wish to take their leadership skills to a new level.

Patterned in many ways after community leadership programs such as Leadership Tampa, Leadership Orlando and even the statewide Leadership Florida, LeadershipFPRA is designed to provide our members with the tools they need to become leaders in their organizations, their communities and within FPRA.

Limited to a class of just 21, this program draws on successful leaders in fields ranging from government, law, ethics & governance, economic development, higher education, business strategy, corporate finance and more. Class members meet six times throughout the year, starting and ending with our annual PR & Comms Summit. The program includes a joint meeting with FPRA’s Counselors’ Network at its Winter Symposium and a session set to coincide with the annual session of the Florida Legislature in Tallahassee.

Be Part of the Next LeadershipFPRA Clas

Regardless of how new you are to the business or how long you may have practiced, this program will help you hone leadership skills. Class size is limited to 21, so applications are competitive.

The LeadershipFPRA Selection Committee will review all applications and choose the most qualified applicants. And while the Selection Committee is evaluating individual applications, it is also charged with building a class that represents diversity — professionally and geographically, as well as in the areas of age, race, gender and ethnicity.

Once selected, each class member will receive a LeadershipFPRA orientation the day prior to the start of the annual PR & Comms Summit, followed by five seminar-styled leadership training classes from a faculty of some of the most accomplished professionals in the state. The curriculum is challenging, and participants are required to attend the orientation, graduation and four of the five independent classes. Graduation will be held the evening prior to next year’s PR & Comms Summit.

Graduates of the LeadershipFPRA program will be better equipped to not only function as PR professionals in their respective workplaces, but also strengthen their rightful seat at the boardroom table and to evolve into further leadership roles in FPRA, their communities and the industry in general.
