In 1987, the first John W. Dillin Award was presented to John Dillin himself by then State President Cathlean Coleman (shown in the banner photo above). The reputation of the man behind this award endures as a reminder to keep the integrity in public relations and to help each other “do our jobs better.”

The John W. Dillin Award has been established as the highest, most prestigious award of the Association. The award honors the spirit and dedication of FPRA’s first president and founder, Lt. Col. John Dillin, and his lifetime of service to and support of the Association.

For information on how to nominate someone for the Dillin Award, download the award guidelines. Nominations are due April 4, 2025.
