We pride ourselves on offering professional development events and networking opportunities designed to connect you with the latest information, tools and techniques so that you can do your job better.
Both the state and local chapters of the Association offer a variety of activities and programs throughout the year, from the coveted PR & Comms Summit and the more intimate CN Winter Symposium, to a variety of monthly webinars, half-day seminars, lunch-and-learns and more. As a member, you have the privilege of attending any chapter event (not just your own) at the member price, and you gain access to our webinar archive.
Archived Webinars
Throughout the year, the state offers webinars featuring some of the top experts throughout the country in communications, marketing and public relations. These events are free and typically offered during a normal lunch hour so that you can tune in between meetings. We also record these sessions so that, if you miss one, you can go back and rewatch.
Looking for ethics-focused training? Many of our members have earned the APR credential and need to have at least 1 CEU credit of ethical training every three years to maintain. Our archives also include webinars focused on ethics training in the communications industry.
CN Winter Symposium
Each year, the Counselors’ Network hosts an intimate CN Winter Symposium. This annual event provides high-level professional development designed to encourage productive idea sharing and stimulating dialogue. In order to attend, you must be a member of the Counselors’ Network and have earned your Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC) credential.
PR & Comms Summit
For more than 80 years, FPRA has brought together public relations, marketing, advertising and communication professionals at all levels to its PR & Comms Summit to stay on top of the latest communication trends while honing the comms skill set needed for success. The PR & Comms Summit offers inspiring sessions delivered by world-class speakers from top global corporations, powerhouse industries, and national public relations, advertising and marketing firms. Whether it’s a decadent chocolate break between sessions or a poolside party or fire pit gathering after the Summit sessions, attendees also have time to connect and unwind with their professional peers representing industries such as government, healthcare, technology, tourism, public utilities, law enforcement, finance, education, nonprofit and agencies. We hope to see you there.
